The Falcon's Nest Bar and Grill is located in the lower level of the Clubhouse at Falcon Lakes Golf Club. The Falcon's Nest is open to the public and serves fresh food and fun times. The Falcon's Nest has recently been updated with new tables and chairs and a comfortable patio area with outdoor big screens, fire pits and an area for games, including bags, bocce ball and Jenga.
The Falcon's Nest menu includes delicious appetizers, salads, sandwiches, wraps, burgers, and entrees as well as a fantastic selection of craft beers, wine, and hand-crafted cocktails.
The Nest's new table tops are 120-year-old ship hatch doors taken from the floor of old sailing ships. Each table top has a brass recessed handle that was used to lift the door so that sailors could store ropes, cables, fish, etc. in the hatch. A gentleman from Michigan began to collect the doors in the 1950's and turn them into table tops.
Years ago the table tops first resided at The Sea Chest, a seafood restaurant in Monterrey, CA. From California, the table tops traveled to northern Maine where they were used in a country club bar and grill. These special table tops have literally sailed the Seven Seas and traveled from west coast to east coast before making their way to The Falcon's Nest in Basehor, KS!
